At Auriel House, relationships are at the heart of the work. We are building a thoughtful, reliable team of adults who can combine warmth with clear professional boundaries, stay curious about the need behind behaviour and work reflectively together.
That is the kind of team we are building at Auriel House.
You will build reliable relationships with children, using warmth, curiosity and clear professional boundaries in everyday care.
You will be supported through structured induction, coaching on shift, monthly supervision, ongoing training and reflective practice.
You will contribute to safeguarding, thoughtful recording, children’s plans, calm routines and a respectful home culture.

A structured two-week induction, shadowing and coaching before independent practice, followed by continued support throughout probation.
Monthly management supervision includes child-focused reflection, professional development and a protected wellbeing check-in.
Mandatory and role-specific development includes safeguarding, PACE, Team Teach, online safety, equality and other training relevant to the role.
Meadows Psychology Service will provide psychological consultation and reflective practice to strengthen staff understanding and everyday care.
Appointments are subject to safer-recruitment checks appropriate to the role. These include an enhanced DBS with children’s barred-list check, verified references, a complete employment history with gaps explored, identity and right-to-work checks, qualification checks where applicable, and online searches as part of shortlisting.
We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds and experiences and will make reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
Please read the vacancy information carefully before submitting your application. Do not upload DBS certificates, passports, driving licences or other identity documents at the initial application stage.
